1. What is ABA Training Center?
ABA Training Center is a QABA approved coursework and CEU provider. With its initiaves and platform, access to qualified behavior-analysts and consultants around the world are within reach to provide supervision or consulation to students and practitioners of behavior analysis.

2. Is it a legitimate business?
Yes. ABA Training Center is a registered business in North Carolina, USA and the Philippines.

3. Why are courses and fees in US Dollars?
With the goal of driving excellence beyond borders, US dollar is the base currency due to its stability and global acceptance. Students and ABA professionals all over the world are given options to pay in USD (subject to card issuing bank’s conversion) or in their local currency (subject to Stripe’s conversion)

4. Are courses and supervision fees subject to sales tax?
Yes. All courses and fees are subject to US sales tax in North Carolina.

5. How can ABA Training Center offer such affordable courses and fees?
This is primarily due to the generosity of instructors and practicing behavior analysts who share the same values of making ABA education and training accessible.

6. Who are the instructors and supervisors?
All instructors and supervisors are credentialed practitioners or expert in their field, representing different background, culture and practice. They are medical doctors, licensed behavior analysts (LBA) from different US states, board-certified behavior analysts (BCBA) and Qualified Behavior Analysts (QBA). Most have held instructor positions in US colleges or universities. In addition, consultants have expertise in areas of specific needs.

7. How are course instructions provided?
The first cohort of ABAT, QASP-S & QBA would comprise of both asynchronous and synchronous learnings. Synchronous meetings will be held via Zoom on dates announced.

8. Who are qualified to take ABAT, QASP-S & QBA courses?
ABAT 40-Hour Training takers are individuals ANYWHERE in the world who are at least 18 years-old with a high school diploma or equivalent. See complete qualifications below:

QASP-S takers are individuals ANYWHERE in the world who are at least 18 years old with bachelor’s degree from an accredited university for higher education. See complete qualifications below:

9. Are QASP-S and QBA Courses different from supervised fieldwork?
Yes. Coursework is just one of the requirements that provides certification after completion. Supervised fieldwork is the practicum aspect where you will be under supervision of a qualified behavior analyst or psychologist. Background attestation and verification of fieldwork hours are to be furnished by the qualified supervisor. Coursework certificate, supervised fielwork, passing the examination are some of the requirements to become credentialed QASP-S or QBA. Please refer to QABA’s official website below:

10. Is supervised fieldwork part of the QASP-S & QBA courses?
No. Candidates pursuing QASP-S and QBA credentials would require 1,500 or 2,000 fieldwork hours, respectively. A minimum of 5% of which are to be supervised by QBAs, BCBAs, LBAs or Psychologists with ABA in their scope of practice. ABA Training Center’s platform gives access to qualified and good standing supervisors who generously shared their availability. To avoid dual relations, all instructors are only to provide supervision to students not enrolled in ABA Training Center’s courses.

11. Once I completed the courses, would my certificate be recognized in the Philippines only? In the United States only? No. The coursework certificate from ABA Training Center as an approved coursework provider of QABA is globally recognized. ABA Training Center’s certificate is addressed in Raleigh, North Carolina

12. What career awaits for ABATs, QASP-S’ and QBAs?
ABATs, QASP-S’ and QBAs are credenialed professionals to provide care and services of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), commonly known as ABA therapy.  ABA Therapy is an evidenced-based intervention and the gold standard treatment of autism spectrum disorder

Dr. Maria Martinho is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst with over 20 years of experience supporting children with special needs. She currently works at a center in North Carolina and has held similar roles in both the USA and the UK, including home and school-based positions. Maria holds a PhD in Education with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis from Queen's University Belfast. Her expertise includes Applied Behavior Analysis, teaching, special education, and autism spectrum disorders.

Dr. Anthony Paul Guerrero M.D.

Anthony P. S. Guerrero, M.D. is Professor and Residency Program Director and Director of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Hawai‘i John A. Burns School of Medicine. He is board certified in the three specialties of medicine that he practices: general pediatrics, general psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry. He completed college, medical school, and residency/fellowship training at the University of Hawai‘i. He currently serves as chair of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Section of the World Psychiatric Association, and as a deputy editor for Academic Psychiatry.

Maricel Cabildo LPT, M.a. SPED, BCBA, IBA, LBA-NC & TX

Led to behavior analysis with a family member’s autism diagnosis, Ms. Cabildo is an entrepreneur who found purpose in providing support and interventions to children on the spectrum. A Philippine-licensed teacher, she pursued programs that cater to individualized needs of learners with the scarcity of available services since 2018. She earned her master’s degree in special education at Philippine Women’s University and Professional Applied Behavior Analysis Certificate at University of California - Santa Barbara.

Holder of a behavior analyst license in North Carolina and Texas, she currently provides telehealth services after transitioning from a primary BCBA position in a private clinic in the United States. Her contributions in her home-country, Philippines, span from providing staff and parent training to supervising aspiring behavior analysts. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in clinical psychology to gain deeper understanding of human behavior and expand clinical practice to better support clients with complex needs.
